Famous Japanese rock band Kanjani8 was the first group to make an appearance on the well-known music YouTube channel β THE FIRST TAKE β this year.
The Kansai (and former Johnny’s) group performed their much-loved 2007 hit ‘Zukkoke Otoko Micchi’ and opened with acknowledging the fact that it had been 20 years since they made their debut β despite the fact that the group was officially introduced in 2002 (making it 21 years to date).
After performing their signature song, all five members set aside their musical instruments before returning to perform their 2019 single ‘Tomo yo’.
Kanjani8 will release their new single γ’γ³γΉγγγΉ on 24 January 2024.
Author’s written notes and thoughts
I have always been and will probably always be a fan of all Kanjani8 songs. Similar to songs released by senior and previous Johnny’s groups, the lyrics always have heart.
γΊγγ³γ±η·ιβ(translated toβ‘Stupid Man’s Way’) has always been a classic β not just because it’s a complete bop but β because it encourages you to live your life fearlessly. On the other hand, εγ is all about positivity. So, I’d say that our legendary Kansai group made some excellent song selections to open up 2024 with.
And you know what? As a country, Japan has most definitely had an unexpectedly horrible first week this new year’s β and everyone will most definitely need a reminder to still put themselves out there instead of limiting their future by feeding into their fears.
** My heart definitely sympathises with all of those affected by Japan’s earthquake, plane crash, and horrible fires.
