As officially announced on 31 December 2023, Hiroshige Narimiya β also known by his stage name Hiroki Narimiya β will resume acting activities in 2024.
Narimiya appeared in TV Asahi’s Aibou Season 22: New Year’s Special as himself.
After the actor retired in 2016, Narimiya migrated to Indonesia and then stayed in Europe until he returned to Japan in 2021.
Narimiya has currently been focusing on his apparel line which he launched in 2016 β HN Product has an online store and occasionally hosts pop-up events.
During his ‘downtime’, Narimiya has also launched his website as well as kickstarted an Instagram account, both of which are under his real name: Hiroshige Narimiya.
Despite stepping away from the entertainment industry, it has been reported that Narimiya still receives many requests to perform at events.
Narimiya has since hired an agent to officially handle these acting requests for him but has released a statement addressing the fact that he has not officially confirmed any acting gigs and there are no concrete plans for him to act anytime soon.
Narimiya played the character, Kai Tohru, on Aibou Season 11 to Season 13.
He was also featured in seasons 19 through to 21.
